![]() So using a gigaware mini display port worked with both projector and TV and two different HDMI cables (one radioshack- no ethernet and the one that came with the TV is HDMI/ethernet). So this cost me 8 hours I will never get back ! Voila- the Griffin mini display port- purchased through the Apple store is either incompatible or defective. I incidentally was setting up a new Epson projector (1761W) with the MBP at the same time and found that the connection with the same cable and same adapter was equally non functional.Īfter hours of frustration and getting on the horn with the Epson support I ended up trying a new cable and new adapter. ![]() My husband's 2009 or 2010 MBP did the same thing 'cept the screen was a dull charcoal black versus a soothing sky blue. My original issue was the the TV and the MBP were not recognizing each other- making it impossible to work with display settings on either device- the screen would go blue for a second and then the laptop would come back on and remain utterly non-responsive to the TV. Thanks for all the help- I'll share this in the hopes it saves someone some time and all the frustration I went through ! ![]() Solution- Samsung TV/MBpro HDMI connection ![]()
